Longtime Texas resident
Kenn Fawn and his wife Kaye have lived in Magnolia since 1999. They moved here
from Houston after his retirement so he would have more room to roam around.
They have two daughters and four grand children.
Kenn worked for Shell for 36 years and then four more years as a consultant.
As a process engineer, he designed multi million dollar chemical plants
throughout the United States, and in the Middle East and Asia. Kenn claims
that he is the only engineer in Shell that actually worked in a salt mine. He
graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1960 and is a
lifetime member of its alumni association.
Kenn served the Nation in the Army Reserve and National Guard for 34 years. He
retired as a colonel and began as a private. His last command was of a unit
that tested large size logistical organizations that included their medical
services units. He is a graduate of the US Army War College. He is a lifetime
member of the Reserve Officers Association.
Kenn is the president of his homeowners association and has served on the
boards of two forest landowner associations. While living in Houston he was
active in the citizen watch program.
He is an avid hunter and enjoys fishing. He is a member of several sporting
organizations. He works in his garden here in Magnolia and one at his tree
farm in Crockett, Texas, which he has owned since 1984.
Kenn appreciates the opportunity to serve the community through the Hospital
Board. He became interested in the Hospital District soon after moving to
Montgomery County. The District has two vital functions, which must be carried
out both with compassion and fiscal responsibility. He believes that the
District has excellent, dedicated personnel working in the trenches. Kenn
supports efforts to maintain its competent staff.
